Twelve hundred people filled the Anders Lecture Hall. The lights were low over the seats and bright on the stage. Somewhere in the dark above, the ceiling disappeared. The room was designed to make ideas feel important — tiered seating rising in a shallow arc, acoustic panels absorbing the small sounds of a crowd settling into itself, waiting.
There was no podium. No notes. No chair. The stage was empty in a way that felt intentional rather than unprepared.
